@zeeeeeeeeeee Firstly, you need to evaluate way you were with that person in the first place. Were you there for purely material reasons or something else? Spend a few days thinking about what you did wrong, talk to someone to get your thoughts in order. Once sorted, and you know you're not going make the same mistake again, put aside that knowledge. Then you need to find a new destination to move too, find that and move towards it, if it doesn't work out, find something closer and move to that. Keep moving forward.

@mr-peanut You steal part of a person soul if you help then without allowing them to pay you back. I'm all about giving a person a chance to succeed. I would open a door for someone, and let them decide to walk through.

It's complicated, how much should you help, without causing more problems. Each situation is different. You're emotions may get the better of you in one situation, but another my not even register. Some people shout for help and no one hears them, others, abuse peoples with cries with despair just in order to get a free ride.
