    • RE: Sci-Fi Movies?...

I enjoyed 'The 100' series quite a lot, and always suggest Event Horizon for a creepy Sci-fi movie.

    • RE: Are men failing? Why?

Most men aren't failing. I think that's projecting a little bit; we just want to feel like we're secure - and a lot of men have this nasty habit of not communicating their thoughts, feelings, or needs... and that will kill a relationship faster than anything. Also, as far as I go, real respect goes a long way, a lot of us are pretty good at spotting disingenuous.

    • RE: any gym people here?

I prefer to mix it up if I'm feeling too lazy to hit the gym. Exercise for the sake of it drives me crazy, so I like to make goals. I have to remind myself that I need to keep going so that I have enough stamina to do something I wouldn't be able to do in my current physical state. So I'll go on hikes or bike rides out in nature, or take a dance class. Just anything to get my body moving!

@Neeko Because I don't know about you, but weird ass "straight" white dudes have done a lot to throw me off my game, but never once has an apache helicopter had fuck all to do with my life.

    • RE: petrapark3r and ScruffyMutt debate God's existance

It's possible that something can both exist, and not exist at the same time. As postulated by Schrödinger - and observed in photons. They may only exist when the person observing it actually believes it exists. As far as some all knowing all loving sky-daddy, it's also easily observable that this probably either does not exist, or is untrue - as there are literally millions of scenarios where divine intervention could have prevented some of the worst instances of suffering, on some of the least deserving of people, including children. So my thoughts are, God might exist, but it definitely is not the God that Christians believe exists.

@Lurker Too much neediness can be hard to deal with as well... I like some kind of happy medium where we can both live our lives separately, while coming together and enjoying the time we have with each other. Co-dependency can lead to all kinds of difficulties and frustration.

    • RE: The Beauty of Pain

I'm sorry you're going through this. I wish I had good advice for you, and unfortunately, I don't. I'm one of those people, who has chosen alcohol as a means to just 'make it through' some of those hard moments. Functionally. Hell - that's been in my family for probably more generations than I'd care to know. So, why am I even saying anything? Because I've lived with 'this' long enough to know that there is no silver bullet. There's 'solutions' and the ones that all of the doctors and therapists say are permanent are only temporary. Some more than others. Some of those solutions can last you a really good long time, but inevitably - it catches back up with you. Medications work for awhile, but those too also eventually stop working. It's a hound that has your scent, and it never gets quite lost enough. Always keep one step ahead, and never be too attached to your ego to believe it does not need attention.

None of my business, I don't care what someone identifies with. Question is, what has someone who identifies as an Apache Helicopter ever done to ruin your day?

Yeah, overgeneralizing on the 'white dude' part - definitely had a lot of issues with creep men. I know quite a few trans people (I do live in California after all), never once had any issue with any of them.

    • RE: Need some one to talk

Well, at least you've owned up to your behavior. You're not entitled to her forgiveness just because you see the error of your ways, but neither should your value be based entirely on the opinion of others. If you're truly sorry, you won't make this miscalculation again and maybe down the road she might see that you've taken this to heart and might be willing to rekindle your 'friendship' - or maybe not, but at least you'll know not to make the same mistake twice.

    • RE: Why do loyal people often get hurt in a relationship ?

Disloyalty in a committed relationship is one of the worst things one human being can do to another human being. Not only have you wasted someone's time and effort, you've indulged yourself into thinking you can betray the very foundation of trust between one human and another. It is far better to leave a person, than to destroy a person like that.
