Psycho-Pass, is as it named, is about a system that discovers criminals before committing a crime.
Beelzebub, is about a high school delinquent that raises a devil child, it is a comedy action.
Drifters is a historical action time travel.
Gintama is the best comedy anime.
Lovely complex is a romantic story about a tall girl and a short boy.

ohh.. have you tried Requiem from the Darkness. It is a story in old Japan, but the story is about a boy learning to be a reporter, story writer and detective. On his travel, he meets 4 demons, that actuall help him. And it is his travel to find reasons for the actions of the 4 demons, and their past history.
