IQ doesnt mesure your intelligence but how your brain works. And the higher more likely you are to do well in academics.

Then as i said it changes the way your brain works, so of course it changes your way of thinking, higher IQ mean, in general, higher empathy, you get more affected by your surroundings, you dont think "in a straight line" so it can make discussions a bit hectic. It also makes you takes habits and you are weaker to addictions.
