@chicken-nugget sounds to me like you don't believe you have the ability to control your own fate. so yes, that will make you at the mercy of it. realizing you can actually control your own fate by the decisions you make, now that takes effort and intention which is not for the faint of heart

i bet if you ask those who think it's more fate than effort what there longest relationship they have had is, not a single one will have been in a serious relationship for more than 5 years.. it always feels like fate at first, especially with all the movies out there.. after several years, people change and the true test sets in. of course this will not be the case 100% of the time, but much closer to it than not.

@ragnar Great question. From my experience, always feels like fate at first but definitely evolves into effort as time goes on
