@Official-Penguin Every edgy athiest ever. Humanity isn't a religion. The fact that she stated "religion" means the said belief needs to be grounded in a supernatural being. "Humanity" isn't an answer to this. Nice try farming upvotes though.

RE: Love? What do you actually mean by it?
@Lorelei-Amphitrite most likely it still does, sure there is no such thing as an absolute true love to be found around ever corner. But it is more than alive at this point, love is the feeling of attachment and affection one has for an innate aspect of someone or something. You can love an idea, or a person because they share a common property, the ability to invite emotion. Poetry can be loved because it makes us feel, that emotion, is what love represents. If you believe in a higher reality, love is what connects this world to that world. If not, love is that which connects us to that which we feel for. I hope I haven't run in circles.

RE: Anyone who likes spiritualistic stuff?
@Sam24m that's a very dogmatic way to approach life. Seems to not be grounded in reality. Spiritual maybe, not real.

RE: Anyone who likes spiritualistic stuff?
@gurl23f You mean spirituality? If so, I'm rather a measly fan of it. But I adore the works of Rumi and Bhudda, I've the works of Bhudda and Rumi's Red Book. Both are amazing books, each ought to be read in their own respective languages, for a lot is lost in translation. Their emphasis on inner change and peace is one of the greatest refreshers in Eastern Philosophy.

RE: How do you deal with anxiety and depression when you don't smoke, do any drugs or when the person who usually sees you pass these times is unreachable??
@Kaneki-kun, primarily I don't name myself after an anime character. But otherwise I just read a book, eat some food and play videogames. If you want to meditate and read books, try some of the works of Seneca and Marcus Aurelius on Stoic philosophy.

RE: How many of you joined TWS when you were horny?
@Deathknight no, you just said that because you're an egoist, craving attention.

@albertojames, you're basically addressing 2/3rd of the population here, at the very least. Lol.

RE: Hey, I will never get laid, how can I cope with it?
@notaserialkiller The point isn't to have someone love you, but to love yourself and let the world do the rest. Do what you can with your life, do the good you aspired to do, all else is second to a good life.

RE: Hey, I will never get laid, how can I cope with it?
@notaserialkiller Maybe to yourself, have you ever watched Shrek? Though it seems like a fairytale, it's quite possible you'll find someone who will love you for who you are. It doesn't take much to better yourself, if you hate yourself and adopt bad habits you'll rarely get the chance to go out with some ladies, I was in your shoes once, I didn't think I'd ever get a girl, I had low self esteem, I didn't like myself, I thought of committing suicide nearly every day. Then I started to change my behavior, it didn't happen overnight, rather over a period of 4 years. A few months ago, I had my first long lasting relationship, before that, I had a short lived one. You see, neither were interested in how I looked, it was part of what they liked, but whenever they told me about how they thought I was good enough for them, they didn't mention my looks even once, they told me more about how I had made them feel. Love, sex, life, these are elements which require faith, and a little bit of courage to do well in. Have faith in yourself, someone out there thinks you've got good looking features, most will think you're ugly, sure. But you're looking for someone, not everyone. It takes a lot of patience, believe me, took me 4-5 years, maybe it'll take longer maybe it won't. But how you better yourself, how you can be "actually nice" these all come into play, better yourself, and the world will give you more.

RE: Do you have questions regarding Islam, if so feel free to ask.
Also this is meant to be a productive Q&A session, so if you must try to take it slow, don't spam, as I've stated, a lot of people here spam verses, which are taken out of context like the "kill the idolaters" 9:5 verse which refers to the people of Makkah who were opposing the Muslims at the time of Mohammad's revelations, they had opressed the Muslims. The verses that come immediately before 9:5 state, “Those with whom you have treaties are immune from attack.” It further states, “Fulfill your treaties with them to the end of their term, for God loves the conscientious.” Now, in its proper context, verse 9:5 can be properly understood.

Do you have questions regarding Islam, if so feel free to ask.
This is not a chat where you can randomly spam verses which say "kill the un-believers" and take it out of context and say Islam is a religion of terrorism. If you want to ask a question regarding anything, you have to provide the reference, the context and the ruling that it has. No out of context bullshit and acting like you're an Islamic scholar. I'm not a Muslim but I've extensively studied theology, mostly regarding Islam, so I'm well versed on most issue but not a scholar. Feel free to ask.

Is being gay a choice or biological (the answer is still unclear even to experts, but asking for a personal opinions)?
I'm very well versed on this issue, so I am asking for a general consensus. I know of they famous citations everyone plans to make. So, if you are to quote it, just do it.

@brandon-crandall It makes me really happy I made an impact somewhere no matter how small. Thank you a lot for being a good human being and showing your appreciation. Keep it up.

RE: Hey, I will never get laid, how can I cope with it?
I believe there is more to life than simply getting laid, a lot of things depend on perspective you could simply do one thing to "get laid", change what you don't like, you're 21 there's a lot of time left in life, you live with your Mom? Get a good job, or get a low level job and work yourself up in any form of trade. You aren't good looking? Your face is something which is hard to change, but let me tell you this, your body is just as vital of an aspect of yourself than you can imagine, work out such that you better yourself. IQ shouldn't be a measure of your worth, the IQ scale is a scale of the logical quotient of your mind. There are 8 other forms of intelligence, work on what you love to do, it's a known fact that studying and working hard has been known to increase your IQ. After all this I cannot say whether you'll get laid or not, but your self-respect, and your self-esteem will get better. And I believe that is more important than getting laid. P.S I don't want to get laid either.
