In desperate need of friends. I’m a 17 year-old guy who’s into biology, flowers, and stuff typically considered taboo, but open to any conversation. I have no problem with any gender, race, or sexuality as long as you’re within my general age group.

I have a group of “friends” I sit with in my visual art class. I’m a guy, they’re all girls, and they love to joke about sex and stuff like that. I generally describe myself as a guy with a feminine mentality (not trans) so that’s why I choose to sit with them. I made a sex-related comment that was relevant to the conversation and sounded funny in my head, but they all reacted with disgust and confusion. But what really got me was when my “best friend” said to me “alright, let’s shut that down, James.” I don’t why, but those six words hit me real deep. I just tried to socialize with my “friends” and be entertaining and involved, but it ended up just ruining my day. It’s actually why I’m on this site today. I just want honest friends that aren’t afraid to talk about taboo subjects and won’t openly judge me or silence me.
