There are a number of possible answers that I usually present.

1.) Your own mind constructed reality and placed itself in the world in which you are living. In other words, you are the only real person, everyone else is basically just intelligent robots. So, when you die, you will have left the reality you created for yourself.

2.) Life was created as a sort of simulation by an intelligent alien species. You and everyone you know are already fake.

3.) Whatever consciousness is driving you will simply vanish, and you won't have any time to think or reflect on it, meaning you will cease to exist.

4.) You will become another person in another timeline, unaware of your previous life.

5.) You are already controlling every living being in the universe. Every microsecond, you control your actions for a fraction of a second and switch to the next person. Every time you switch, the memories of that specific person are loaded. This means that what you experience as a continuous life is actually the same consciousness that controls every living thing.

The last one is a somewhat unpolished idea with which I have come up.

Lately, I've become interested in the topic of augmentation.

For anyone who doesn't know what augmentation is, it's basically when you install mechanical or electronic technology into a living organism to enhance their genetic abilities tenfold. For instance, a computer chip integrated with the brain may help you remember things better, think faster, or gain knowledge without having to learn it.

Of course, augmentation isn't limited to the brain. One example of mechanical augmentation is the Overwatch Transhuman Arm soldiers from Half-Life 2. For those unfamiliar with the lore of Half-Life 2, they're basically soldiers that have been completely brainwashed, their brain, joints, organs, etc have been artificially enhanced to the point where they're able to take on almost any threat.

Today's post will be about Dyson Spheres. For those who have never heard of a Dyson Sphere, it is a formation of artificial habitats either orbiting or spinning around and in close proximity to a star. There are multiple designs for Dyson Spheres, so it is advised that you do a tad bit of research on Google.

A Dyson Sphere could theoretically hold billions and billions of people if fully constructed. There would no longer be any concerns for energy, since you're right next to a star, and you can easily and efficiently install solar panels on your Dyson Sphere.

@ilija-gromovnik If I saw something I could do, I would do it. But it takes such a large collection of people that it's nearly impossible to get everyone to do their part. If I saw other people resisting, I would do the same. But right now, we can't do crap unless by sheer luck everyone decides to put a stop to it all at once.

I completely agree that something needs to be done because we're driving ourselves directly into a wall. But without numbers, I can't do anything meaningful.
