@mr-h thank you i am too!! right now the only thing that sucks is that i cant eat but im staying hydrated and feel fine.

i got my adenoids and tonsils removed, and they realigned my septum, i have to wait until i fully recover until i can get my hernia repaired they're keeping me over night and discharging me in the morning, ill come back in 2 weeks for my final surgery. they said everything went well and the pain is pretty tolerable at the moment.

@premedstudent thank you i hope they do as well, i will absolutely post again after surgery and let everyone know how it went. and because its relatively minor surgeries, and i moved closer to my college so my sister is going to come and a really good friend but the rest of my family are sending their best wishes but won't be making it.

@sᴛʀᴀɴɢᴇʀ it definitely freaks me out!! i don't think i'm going to get any sleep tonight.

@mrot32 i was playing volleyball and jumped up for a hit and strained my hip/ thigh and it caused a hernia, i didn't have much pain from it afterwards until here recently when i was walking my dog and he saw another dog and pulled the leash from my hand, resulting in busting open my hernia.

@mrot32 septum realignment, Inguinal hernia repair, and im getting my tonsils and adenoids removed. so ill kinda be in the hospital for a while and they'll more than likely keep me for a few days and then ill be in recovery for a few weeks

@mrot32 we've had a meeting but it was a quick 5 minute chat about the risks

@mrot32 ive never had surgery before so ive never met this surgeon and its not that easy for me to put all that trust into a stranger. they could literally sneeze and kill me

@mrot32 yes they probably have but i have awful luck and each surgery that they complete and don't mess up increases my odds of me being the 1 in a 1000 that gets killed, or paralyzed. especially because i'm getting three done so triple my bad luck odds.

:grimacing: so tomorrow i go in for a couple minor surgeries and its actually kinda scary, i'm the type of person who wants to completely understand what's going on. so i've spent all day lying in bed researching what could go wrong, watching the procedure online, and this morning when i woke up i wasn't too scared, but now i'm kind of terrified.
