How tf do you make friends in school?

I suck at making friends and I need some new ones. Just idk how to do it-

@Melanie_Raye Talk to people as much as you can and see if you have common interests. Smile and help someone you see might need help with something. Also like maybe at lunch time find someone sitting alone. I am not sure if your school has afterschool activities like sports, clubs, etc but that is a great way to connect with others.

@Melanie_Raye Raye, don't go into this as trying to make a friend, but go into it as to know that person better. And if you see similar interest as you do, then proceed to friendship.. some people, it is just not worth getting to know as a friend.. I have several of them at work.. But if you see it from, almost a supportive information gathering, you can see qualities you click with, and then talk about that, and friendship, if they are willing and you too, may start to come up. You are a very wonderful friend to me Raye, been since I met.

Also its awkward to ask someone to be your friend. Real friendships take time to develop so just hang in there. You will find friends :) -

i actually never did ask anyone to become my friend , with time you get to know each other, looks like you have joined a new school , it takes time to settle down , people will start having conversations with you , and you will never be alone , its just matter of time -

you do pretty well in live, but i get it, its online. Just smile and take an interest in the person you talk to. Ask what they like to do for fun or what kind of music they like. "Practice makes perfect" you got this!

@Janet @Melanie_Raye or you can just study as hard as you can , answer all the questions asked by teachers , and then you will be surprised to know how you got so many friends

@Melanie_Raye just be nice. And be your self. Talk to people about what you are into and maybe someone likes them too. Also ask people about what they like. And above all. Give your friendship some energy.
