@spaceboy it's complicated, Electron is great but it's certainly not BROWSER engine , Electron has great apps behind it's name like Etcher , Atom , Skype , Discord , Slack etc., it can communicate with the internet that's for sure but it's not a BROWSER engine

@JessicaGrant It's not exactly a browser engine, but it uses V8, webkit's javascript engine, as does node.js itself. basically it is a text editor written in javascript running in v8.

@spaceboy it only uses the toolkit tho, you can't quite do what you can do with Chromium and still, Atom is one of the best code editors if not the best
