@Axtonishing-wowie Well, there's plenty of fish in the sea and how far a good fisherman stretches the truth depends on the length of his arms. I also have a hook if you like🤣🤣🤣
What is the most absurb reasons you've heard for breaking up with someone
-
Mine is he sees me as a "perfect wife", nice and caring. But truth is I think it is because he finds me boring. But we've been together for 5 years.
-
@WantedLife one of ny goid friends broke up with his partner of 5 years because they had never had a single argument. He regretted it
-
@Scottish wow pretty dumb reasoning. Guess 5th year is prone to "absurb reasons to ditch partner"
-
@WantedLife oh, you were in year 5 also?
-
@Scottish yeah. Pretty messed up right? Tho we're not yet officially broke up. He just asks for a space but we know how it will go.
-
@WantedLife well maybe he does genuinely want space but yeah, it's not a good sign. My advice would be let him have his space, don't chase him, act unconcerned, start planning for single life. It's more likely to convince him to return and if he doesn't at least you're already on your new path. Why would he find you boring?
-
@Scottish but if I act unconcerned, he might really leave me.
You know, men do find nice girls pretty boring. -
But yeah. I think I need to start rebuilding my life. Thank you
-
@WantedLife My own reason... I broke up with my first serious girlfriend (we were in our early twenties and had been together for almost two years) because I knew that she wanted to go and live/study abroad for a while, even though she would not be doing that for at least another two or three years probably younger, and I knew I would not be able to leave my home and family/friends to move abroad too. In some twisted broken logic part of my brain I thought that I was better to end things sooner rather than get even closer than we already were and go through even more heartbreak and pain when the time came to separate when she moved abroad.
Of course we were both devastated anyway, and nothing is permanent. Making things work long-distance and still seeing each other over holidays never even occurred to me; she did eventually move to Italy for a while but was always coming back, and she has now been back in England for a few years. We would probably have found a way to make it work, although I have no regrets. I still feel sometimes it was a daft reason.

@WantedLife A former friend of mine broke up with his girlfriend because she made fun of his car. It was the pettiest thing I've ever seen 🙄
-
@belethor lol Bel, just choked on my coffee, that's hilarious 😁
-
because the guy said he enjoys talking with me more than with his own gf
