Can menstrual blood be donated to red cross?
-
Ugh!.. too much blood flow today. First day of my period.
Just wondering...
Has anyone here donated their menstrual blood to red cross?
If so, why or why not?:smirk:

what is red cross

@Kiss_My_Axe However great the menstrual flow (this would be a metrorrhagia, a condition of health to be evaluated by a gynecologist) besides being a residue of desquamation of the endometrium, being therefore inappropriate for donation. In addition to laboratory processing and guaranteeing the sterility of the collection, this is not possible since the vaginal canal is technically a potentially contaminated site, as well as some pathogens such as pseudomonas, gardenerella and some fungi such as candida albicans.
Really unfit to be reused. I hope it was not inconvenient in my review. -
@Berin I was just curious because lots of blood are wasted. This will be a novel research if someone can develop a way to filter the blood and remove contaminants/bacteria.
Perhaps, we can also use the menstrual blood to 'water' plants.hahaha

@Kiss_My_Axe In hemodialysis there is technology of the dialysers for blood filtration; yet patients need to perform up to 3 sessions to eliminate metabolites and toxins.
Well, to water plants can even serve because it is biological material and its nutrients can be absorbed by soil and plants. We would be a good fertilizer if we did not so much contaminate the soil with the slurry of our corpses. -
@Kiss_My_Axe Thanks to the curiosity that arises the science.

@Kiss_My_Axe Not really Axe :joy: I don't think it's really healthy as it's all dead blood cells n stuff...in other words garbage..where did u get that pic btw :joy:
-
@Ofc69 It should be used for watering the plants. This is a nice research study btw.
-
@Kiss_My_Axe U wanna kill the plants or what!!?? :joy:
-
@Ofc69 This is unproven yet. We need to test.
-
no it contains harmful germs so need to avoid it
