RE: How to recognize the right one?
@petrapark3r I think it is hard to recognize the "one". Many people are so focused on the potential that the grass is greener else where that they leave their soulmates when theyre together and later find out it was a mistake. By that time it is too late, both or one of them have moved on and now reminisce on what could have been.
I would say if someone really wants to know if they've met their "one" it would take some time of stepping out of the box and really looking at the big pictures and attention to detail. You have to understand yourself and understand the person youre with. Then, experience life with other people. I think youll really know if theyre the one if you start realizing that other people cant measure up, and you really don't think anyone compares. You stop thinking about the grass being greener and you the only future you see has them in it. And there cant be any doubt, you have to be 110% sure that theyre the one.
Sadly, even that could not be enough. They might be the one now, but as we age and grow, we change. Some people that were perfect at one time might be two completely different people that are no longer perfect for each other anymore. Its heart breaking, but it is okay. It is just apart of life. Loving and losing is better than no love at all. -
RE: Eight Questions
@Lurker I guess its different for everyone, but personally I would say partners are chosen. You may not choose to have feelings, but you choose to be with them and whether or not to stay with them. It's more than being interested in each other, its about complimenting one another and being able to work as a team and also as individuals.

why does it matter, that there are people who don't care about what you write?
because at that point I might as well keep to myself.
If no one cares that I use my phone in the movie theater, then I'd take it out without a care in the world when I got a text. But people do care, and they want my phone silenced and put away, so that's what I do.
If I'm writing a response on tws but no one cares what I write, then I might as well not write it. If I'm writing a response I think someone might care about or understand, then ill hit the submit button.
Maybe that's not a good enough reason for you, but thats my thought process and thats my reasoning.Second disagreement: I am perfectly convinced that shakespeare's words are of much higher importance than the words of say Donald Trump. For a simple reason: they contain more truth, and are waaay deeper. Thus: what some people say is in fact more important than what other people say. It is not because of who they are, but because of what they say.
You can not declare what is and isn't important. It may be more important to you, but there are many many many US citizen that are Trump supporters and they would disagree completely. Neither of you would be wrong or right, importance is just subjective.
So are your words more important than other people's words? Maybe. Who could tell today? But they seem to be more important to some people. Why is that not enough?
Well as I mentioned importance is subjective. I don't know anyone who thinks what I have to say is important and if they do feel that way I would be surprised.

RE: Olivia's Thoughts #06
@petrapark3r I don't care about upvotes or replies and I don't think it has to do with attention, but I guess anything is possible.
I just think I am right, for the same reason I just said. Unless its my post or my questions, I don't look at every comment in other topics, why? unless its a juicy question I am interested in, then I don't care. Its a normal thing to not care about other peoples responses to a question you don't care much for either. So if I know I don't care, I know others don't either.
I don't think its so much that I want attention or upvotes or replies. I think I just like being listened to, no one has to respond or react, just listen and learn. But if I don't do it for every one I don't expect everyone to do it for me. If anything, its just me being selfish and acting as though the things I have to say are more important than others, which I know isn't true. Nothing I say is better in anyway, and some of the things I say don't make sense or are misunderstood, with that in combination with the majority not caring I then think... well whats the point? Just keep these thoughts to yourself because nothing comes out of expressing them anyway -

RE: Olivia's Thoughts #03
@SynapticMisfire Don't worry about what I'm doing in my 20s I can assure you I'm having my fun and making my 'stupid mistakes', well theyre not mistakes if i don't get caught 😏
but I actually do think this is a feeling I will have when I get older.
Got bills to pay? great, ill get a job and be responsible with money.
Financial problems? that sucks but i know ill have a roof over my head and people to support me.
You can throw any problem at me but I still live in a privileged first world country with an extremely loving support system that one can only dream of. I don't mean to burst your bubble, in fact I wish what you were saying were to be true, but really its simple.
I know what kind of problems I face and potentially will face in my future, and I know the kinds that others do.
I think I just know how to be grateful, and I've learned it at a young age. So many take what they have for granted and I'm sure I do too, but there are multiple times a day where I just sit and appreciate everything that I have. As I get older those things will only get more valuable and I will only become more grateful of what I've been given. -
RE: Can you be connected to someone so deeply that...
@petrapark3r Sometimes I don't know what they're related to, and I just have to wait and find out. It can be pretty stressful

In all honesty, if even artists talks about it, don't you think there'sa certain need for mastery when it comes to love? Why do some ppl get hurt so bad and others are always together with someone or happy?
I really don't think you can. You can be bad at choosing a good partner for yourself, but there is no right way to love therefor there is no wrong way either :)

When i realized the inevitability of my death, that took a while to wrap my head around
For some reason knowing that we will all die gives me comfort. When I think about immortality and living forever... just waking up everyday for forever and living like forever, I cant even fathom it, but it sounds like hell.

What Was TWS?
I see so many people talk about TWS like it was something magical, some people even considered it a second home.
For those that were around when TWS was a hot spot, what was it like? what was your experience?
What do you think went wrong and how do you think it can be that kind of place again?
Does anyone think TWS can be back to its good ol' days?
Does anything think it ever will? -

Oof, it's been a long time since I played a dare game :face_with_rolling_eyes:
- I'd rather visit the past, what's the hurry to visit something that I'll eventually visit. The past is already gone, so revisiting could be more interesting and who knows... maybe I could visit a time in the past I wasn't around
What time would you visit?
- Love
you cant be bad at love😂 its natural, its different for everyone
- Euros and hopefully keep all of them!
its a public pool so you have to share with the public now! 😂
- "I'm so good at sleeping. I can do it with my eyes closed." :smirk:
😂😂
- Deadpool, he's hot and he is immortal!
and funny! hes the fully package!
- Goofy and innocent things. When someone says something extremelly bad or weird and get flustered after you point out that what they said is kinda... bad :joy:
like this?
- K-pop, it's everywhere and I don't understand the buzz about it!
I agree with this!
- It's not what it used to be but I still come here now and then!
How did it use to be?

Olivia's Thoughts #06
I don't know what to do anymore. I have so many thoughts and things I want to say, feelings I want to express, but I hardly do because who cares?
There have been countless of times where I've written a lengthy response to a topic and then I just discard the whole thing because I know that no one really cares about what I have to say. Which makes sense. Why would they? Ffs, I barely even care what others have to say unless I'm the one asking the questions. It only makes sense for them to not care as well.
But all of these ideas in my head, I feel like I have to get them out. I don't bother telling any of my friends and family because, well, it feels like a bother. They don't care either and if they did they wouldn't understand what I'm trying to say anyway.
That's the biggest problem, no one understands anyway.
Its tiresome keeping everything inside but if I let it all out it seems pointless. Even me complaining about it now seems pointless. Just another spoiled millennial complaining about first world problems. Nice. -
RE: What thoughts keep you up at night?
@doremi It was just a dream, it happens. It is important to know how to separate a dream from reality. If your ex hurt you please do not text them, they don't deserve your time.

RE: Do you believe in souls?
@petrapark3r From what you are saying I'm not really sure what consciousness is. I've always been told that it simply being aware of ones self and its surroundings. If that is all it is than I would definitely say that animals have this, Monkeys for instance, I wouldn't say theyre any less conscious than us, dolphins, ocras, etc.
I think just because animals don't act and 'aren't as smart' as us, people don't realize they are greater than they appear. They are smart, they know what theyre doing, they do not just act and react. They think, they feel, they create, they discover, they know much more than we know they know -
RE: What Realizations Flabbergast You?
@petrapark3r Howd you know?😏
This is actually a thought I've had since I was a youngster. My head would hurt at the age of 6 thinking about how weird it was that my friends went home to a different family that they ate dinner with and lived with and I've never met any of them or experienced any of it.
Whats always bothered me is that I couldn't and can never fully understand someones life. No matter how close we get to being in similar situations or things, we can never fully put ourselves in someones shoes and really understand and know what it is like to be where theyre at.
