@layla alcohol is both depressant and stimulant
@zazzles So it makes you depressed?
@zazzles So it makes you depressed?
@layla No Depressants are Substances(mainly Chemical) that inhibit the function of the central nervous system (CNS) of your body.
It Basically reduces brain activity by affecting neurons in the CNS, which leads to symptoms such as drowsiness, relaxation, decreased inhibition & in high concentration anesthesia, sleep, coma, and even death.
Many depressants also have the potential to be addictive (which alcohol certainly is).
@stranger_danger So alcohol does make you drowsy.
@layla Yep.
More precisely it varies according to your body's present chemical state , past tolerance to alcohol etc ..
@stranger_danger Thanks for clearing that up for me :)
