Dark mode for Live Chat!?!
-
Many Live Chat users have always expressed wanting a dark mode for the bright white Live Chat. I have found out a way to force dark mode on Chrome for Windows!
NOTE: Before doing this know that this will change basically every page you browse to Dark Mode. I love it and hope you will too!
Step 1: Enable Dark Mode on your PC in Windows
-
Right click your desktop and select Personalize.
-
Select Colors on the left menu and select Dark.
This will only affect the browser's interface and menus. If you want to change the appearance of web content, in effect forcing light colored web pages to show a dark background and white text, follow these steps:
Step 2 : Force Dark Mode in Chrome
-
In Chrome, enter the following address in your URL bar: chrome://flags/#enable-force-dark
-
Go the drop-down menu next to Force Dark Mode and select: Enabled with selective inversion of non-image elements
I tried all the settings and this one doesn't mess with emojis or images and turned out to be the best option rather than just selecting Enabled. To disable this feature repeat the steps and select Disabled from the menu. -
Hit the Relaunch button to restart your browser.
Enjoy your new Dark Mode Experience!
Click Here for the website where I found these instructions also instructions on how to change chrome for IOS users and for Android. (I did not test anything for MAC)

You can also use Dark Reader addons for Chrome, it's more easy to use. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/dark-reader/eimadpbcbfnmbkopoojfekhnkhdbieeh?hl=en

-
@Janet Thanks for posting this, can be helpful to a lot of users.
Also for people using different browsers, like Edge, you have their own settings to set up dark mode.
-
kind of racist innit
-
@Janet I downvoted because this post is bias. We need darkmode for Mac users too. #MacLivesMatter
