@Matt_Aranha anytime thanks for your well thought out answer
-
@Phaéris Thank you 😊
(It's The Green Man, for anybody interested who didn't already know - actually a photograph I took of a canvas wall hanging in my bedroom)

@Lunamaria I belong to Hindu religion and I love Lord Krishna becuz of his infinite amount of knowledge and the way he removed demons from earth (demons are those people who do not behave like humans and are a danger to humanity ). Lord Krishna understands true love and by loving him from heart with true feelings one can get eternal peace . Lord Krishna always tells us to focus on our work and forget about feelings as they are just illusions . Lord Krishna is very clever and he teaches us how to control our mind to work more efficiently and live our life in the best way possible 🙂🙏.

What mythology does the green man belong too

@Matt_Aranha good to know
-
@Ash005 thank you that is interesting. I don’t know much about the Hindu religion maybe you can tell me more sometime.

He is a pagan symbol, an umbrella father figure... he is Jack, he is Cernunnos, he is Herne, he is Pan, he is the Horned God... he is all of these and more, and he is none.
-
@Lunamaria Hindu religion is a way of living Luna ... there is a lot to talk .... Maybe someday we can talk about it ...
-
@Matt_Aranha So he belongs to a lot of mythologies
-
@Ash005 I’d love to learn some Ash
-
@Lunamaria okay then
-
@Lunamaria Mostly Western European pagan traditions. But as with many others, you see him where you look. Pantheons across the globe often share similar figures to one another... this is no coincidence.
-
God has never seemed like a viable concept to me personally...no offense to anyone meant.
-
@RexGreeley Thank you for your input.
-
@Matt_Aranha is that cause the same divinity is “felt” by all and everyone has a way to explain it?
-
@Lunamaria I prefer to believe in the spirits of this world. Nature and it’s awareness so to speak.
-
@Alucard_ thank you for replying that’s interesting
-
@Lunamaria That's one potential explanation, but we are beginning to creep into realms of theology which I am far too underqualified to talk about 😂
-
@Matt_Aranha ok but I was just trying to see if I got your point. Thank you 😘I loved learning about the green man
-
@Lunamaria I think you did 😊 I just wanted to be clear there are a lot of other viewpoints and explanations too 😘
I gotta sleep now but my inbox is always open if you want to ask/learn any more. Thanks for an interesting topic 😊
