The current ages of the father and the son will be 49 and 27 respectively.
Timeline- 5---------------------------71
We have to find two numbers between 5 and 71 so that the difference of these 2 new numbers would be exactly same as the difference of 5 and 71 from 2 new numbers.
If we had to find 2 new numbers, we would divide 66 (because 71-5=66) by 3.
If we had to find 3 new numbers, we would divide 66 by 4. And so on.
66/3= 22.
Son's age= 22+5= 27
Dad's age= 27+22= 49 -
