Survival of Humanity
-
Do you think it's imperative that the human race survive?
::: -
No I dont, Ur name trippy tho "time between time"
-
We probably won’t survive if people like Logan Paul exist, god is dead and we killed him people
-
@datboiethan Does anyone know what space/time is?
-
@itscold Gods and goddesses have never created anything. People created all gods.
-
@timebetweentime man you’d be a good friend with c0l
-
@timebetweentime that's an interesting idea, if I wasn't brought up in a Christian family I would probably believe that much more
-
But I do believe the other gods/goddesses were
-
@datboiethan By the way, datboiethan, I don't either. Death laughs at humanity.
-
@datboiethan I was raised a Christian and went to Sunday school and the big sermon afterword. I read the bible (bible means "book") every day. At the age of 12, the inconsistencies of the bible disturbed me, but it wasn't until I was 17 that finally walked out of Sunday school and realized that there is no god, no gods, and no goddesses. I just couldn't keep lying to myself, so I checked out of church.
There's more to the story, but in no time, nobody will care; then nobody will remember.
I never got past the existential angst of knowing I'm my own god. I experienced many things when I was younger, made my own little splash. Then I became reclusive. Now I'm becoming nobody.
-
@itscold I don't know c0l.
-
Good night, everybody. Be kind to everyone you see or know, unless they won't allow you to. If they don't, don't hate them. Hatred hurts the person who hates.
-
@timebetweentime for now yes, because I'm not willing to live a survival's life. But seeing the way the world is today, I'd say our doomsday is approaching.
-
Nope.... Mother Earth needs just the opposite if she will survive.!.
-
-
We didn't kill any gods; we created them in our own image.
-
@ben-c There's no specific doomsday. People, like all other species, will die out. The question is this: What will you determine for your own life? You are your own god. Think about how relatively rare it is to possess self-consciousness. I'm sure that intelligent beings have existed on other worlds, do exist on other worlds, and will continue to exist on other worlds. But they, as we, will become extinct at some point. Believing that humans on this particular habitable sphere will figure out ways to continue is fruitless. It won't happen. Science says so.
-
@spaceboy I think you might be confusing self-consciousness as being limited - having a special place - in the universe.
-
@mr-peanut This is the constant fear of humans here: the fear of death, the lack of self-consciousness. It will happen to everyone everywhere throughout the cosmos sooner or later. It's called "evolution".
-
@TimeBetweenTime Science says that for every effect, there's a cause. Therefore, what caused the "singularity" that exploded into what, at some point, causedd earth? That singularity, in my mind, had to occupy space. It takes space to contain time. I personally think that the cosmos is infinite, so I don't think it was ever created. I think the big bang singularity that caused our particular region of the cosmos is one among infinity. Having said that, I do not believe infinity was created. Scientists themselves debate how the "singularity" could have just been there.
