If someone told you that you could get a look into a magic mirror which would reveal to you the possible man or woman, the person you can be, instead of the weakling you have considered yourself to be, would you not be willing to do everything in your power to obtain such a privilege? What would you look like if you asked to see you in your future?

"Look everybody in the face."
No matter how poor you may be, or how shabby your clothes, whether you are jobless, homeless, friendless even, show the world that you respect yourself, that you believe in yourself, and that, no matter how hard the way, you can do it!
Any other thoughts to add that will be useful?

Be somebody like nobody else!
Be excellent in appearance, in one's conduct, is the first step toward success. It inspires confidence in others and in oneself. Walk, talk and act as though you were a somebody, and you are more likely to become a somebody. Move about among your fellowmen as though you believe you are a man of importance. Let victory speak from your face and express itself in your manner. Carry yourself like one who is conscious he has a splendid mission, a grand aim in life. Radiate a hopeful, expectant, cheerful atmosphere. Be a good advertisement for the winner you are trying to be. Any thoughts to add?

Never allow yourself to think your judgment is poor and do not intimate this.
When asked for your opinion always have an opinion on matters with which you are knowledgeable and never hesitate to express it when it is necessary. This will improve your judgment; it will make you more level-headed, and also more self-confident. -
"Protect your cherished ambitions!"
If you want to realize a cherished ambition; if’ you want to cure yourself of your
defects; to make good your deficiencies and shortcomings, you must think of yourself as you long to be; TELL us as if you had already attained as if you had already received the thing you prayed for or desired. -
"Never think of yourself as inferior."
Never think of yourself as inferior, or below par mentally, that you are not as
Bright as other people. No matter what others may say to you, no matter if your parents and teachers dinned this into your ears in your childhood, refuse to hold in your mind any defective or deficient picture of yourself. Any thoughts to add if this is true to be said? -
Are you going to be content with an effortless life?
Are you going to be content with an effortless life among those who never
rise above the mechanical routine of their positions, because they never exert themselves to self-improvement, never learn better ways of doing things, never bring out more of their ability than will make a bare living? -

"Why can't I do it?"

"SON - TOBACCO IS A FILTHY HABIT!"
Teach your SONS that the use of tobacco is a filthy, costly and unhealthy habit. The SONS with a cigar in mouth, a swagger in his walk, impudence on his face, a care-for-nothingness in his manner, older than his father (judging from his demeanour), is going too fast. Stop him, AND RE-EDUCATE your son again on the dangers of TOBACCO! Or, let him lie in peace.
The chances are ten to one that in a dishonoured grave will soon lie the buried hopes of a father, the joys of a mother's heart, and the pride of sisters ENVY. IS this advice agreeable? What do you say?

DELETE THIS WORD! IMPOSSIBLE from your SON'S VOCABULARY!"
The word " can't " ought not to be found in your son's vocabulary. Teach him stick-to-it-ness. Don't flinch. Never fly the track. Hold on; hold fast; hold out. Any advice? Would you agreeably allow your own son to see life difficult?
-
"HELP YOUR SON, HELP HIMSELF" Don't CATCH HIM!
TEACH your SONS to be self-reliant. "Ability and necessity dwell near each other," said Pythagoras. Let your son learn no other language but this: " You have your own way to make, and it depends upon your own exertion whether you sink or swim, survive or perish." The wisest charity is to help your son help himself.

"SON, DO NOT DESPISE LITTLE THINGS."
Teach your boy not to despise little things. Life is made up of little things. The
"little things" in the aggregate make up whatever is great. Look to the littles. If we make the little events of life beautiful and good, then will the whole life be full of beauty and goodness. Any thoughts on home life? Agreeable advice or not. -

"As the twig is bent the tree inclines."
Honesty is best right. What do you believe to be true? Walk straight from the start, and all you come in contact with will walk a straight line too.
-
"TEACH YOUR SONS TO BE OPEN AND HONEST."
Agreed? Teach your SONS to be open and frank. If THEY HAVE carelessly broken anything, and takes full blame upon themselves, and makes no excuses about it, don't punish them, but commend them for their honesty, and they will grow up every inch a man. Would you like your sons to be honest and open towards you as a father? If not, do you believe it is unnecessary to apply these rules to your own son at home?
