a fellow optimist? Sounds like you have a healthy paradigm. We all have denial but it is what we do with it. Sometimes it is so subtle that it is hard to discern. Sometimes it is actually believed by us but we have believed a lie. Sometimes it is a known lie believed by us. Some allow it to define them. I acknowledge it within myself and move on growing and improving.
