I recieved a Samsung Chromebook Pro and want to know how to run android apps?

I am puzzled as to why is it that the Samsung Chromebook Pro has Google Play in it but after installing apps I cannot find them to run them. The Samsung Chromebook Pro is registered and verified to be able to run android apps from the Play Store so why is it that I cannot locate them after they are installed to run them? Where are they exactly? It seems that it is installing apps to my android phone but not on the device itself. This is my first introduction to the chrome OS.
