@Vicious-Retard One of the most relevant aspects anyone in power has to keep in mind is the people. Are they up-lifting your gov't?? Any gov't in power looking for earn support from the masses ought to ensure peace and stability, of course sth Victor Emmanuel 3rd was putting in practice being head of democratic gov't. Unfortunately, Benito Mussolini and his Black Shirts' homies persistently kept distabilizing the political atmosphere just like any other opposition party would do, so Italy was characterised by violence and lawlessness. Despite Victor Emmanuel 3rd's strong militia and police, he failed to contain such foolhardy criminal civil violence but hoped the most efficient way to control the opponents was place them in power, hence influencing many of the fascists take on his stand. They exploited this to weaken the socialists and communists and soon the masses mostly the industrialists and bankers lost confidence in his gov't so turned to up-lift the fascists promising to end violence. Funny how same people inciting violence promising to end it🤣🤣🤣. Besides that, there was a weakness in the Italian parliamentary system after the first World War. Seats were unevenly distributed so it was impossible to have stable gov't, sth exploited once again by the fascists party making em gain majority seats in the 1921 general elections. Next step was of course to decampaign the democratic gov't followed agreements made to form new govt hence taking over power. I believe things didn't work out as it could be with any other gov't but I give the fascists some credit for their achievements done for consolidation. Peace out holmes.

Fascism (/ˈfæʃɪzəm/) is a form of far-right, authoritarian ultranationalism[1][2] characterized by dictatorial power, forcible suppression of opposition, and strong regimentation of society and of the economy,[3] which came to prominence in early 20th-century Europe.[4] The first fascist movements emerged in Italy during World War I, before spreading to other European countries.[4] Opposed to anarchism, democracy, liberalism, and Marxism, fascism is placed on the far right-wing within the traditional left–right spectrum.[4][5][6]

Fascists saw World War I as a revolution that brought massive changes to the nature of war, society, the state, and technology. The advent of total war and the total mass mobilization of society had broken down the distinction between civilians and combatants. A military citizenship arose in which all citizens were involved with the military in some manner during the war.[7][8] The war had resulted in the rise of a powerful state capable of mobilizing millions of people to serve on the front lines and providing economic production and logistics to support them, as well as having unprecedented authority to intervene in the lives of citizens.[7][8]
