What is the difference between living and existing?
-
I guess living is living ur life for a goal and actually doing something exiting is like ur here but u aren’t
What do u think tho ? -
To me the difference between living n existing is very simple I guess....like when u wake up in the morning n if ur firfirst thought is "here goes another day " that's what what I think is existing n if ur first thought is "here comes another day !!!" Then ur actually living ur life ....as in if ur excited when sleep at night ...excited about what new u gonna ace tomorrow n what n life has in store for u ...its living ur life .....life life is a merry go round for u ...goes around the same way all the time its exsisting ...but if life if a roller coaster n u have a new excitement on every turn of it its living ur life ...

@Celiaaaa When you are just EXISTING, life happens to you…and you manage. When you are truly LIVING, you happen to life…and you lead.

@Kaneki-kun I literally wanna knoww

@Celiaaaa Your question sounds interesting. I'll share my perspective but many might not agree with me. I think, certain things can exist without living and you can live without existing. To me (may not be to others), existence is when no one can deny that you are there. When you want to live without existence, you can live in complete seclusion, something that I would like to venture during my last few days on earth — you can go into a deep forest, hunt by yourself and get some food to eat. If you have lived an urban life, you can also get there with all the equipments that you need to survive. "Living" comes from "life", so I suppose, if you are surviving with your soul, you are living; you may not care about your existence, but still you are breathing and your organs aren't dead yet. However, your existence will not be anymore to the world in which you lived before. So, once you have chosen to escape from your public life, you have become non-existent in the mundane world. However, you cannot deny the "existence" of water, air and food even if they are not living. This is how I differentiate between the two words "existing" and "living".

@anonymous92 its actually interesting
i loved ur pov

@Celiaaaa Existing is living in denial, as I think. When you give up the will to be lively and cherish each moment of your passing life, while you are alive, you would be called a mere entity which exists. To exist, is to eat, drink sleep and basically nothing else. To live, however is eating, drinking, sleeping, loving, following your passions and your fantasies, curbing hurt towards others, and also celebrating life, and not criticising it, as it flies by!

@Celiaaaa i agree with u
as a muslim i see it like this:
EXISTING is like ur here but not fulfilling ur purpose as u should so ur wandering around lost in life and not knowing where to go.
LIVING is actually living up to ur purpose and acting upon it since ALLAH created every single living thing with a purpose that it must fulfill during life.
