Eminem's new release
-
Eminem drops his new album under the title of "Music To Be Murdered By" ... It is available on Spotify and YouTube as well.
I would like to hear your impressions about it.
-
@Scottish Well i think this taboo should be treated ... At least he had the balls to write a song about it ... When you listen to the song you will understand why he did that.
-
@Hyde You feel eminem could use more exposure? He's pretty much the most famous rapper on the planet Hyde lol, maybe only Jay Z and kanye west could rival him. Things must be different in japan. For me personally it doesn't get better than public enemy and ice T. The golden age of hip hop was the 80's and 90's when the rhymes were full of social and political commentary. Although the UK grime scene is full of socially conscious rappers with lots of worthwhile things to say
-
@Scottish yeah I agree with u. There is another song “Darkness” where he IS the Las Vegas shooter. I get what he tried to do there but it made me uncomfortable. I guess that was the point tho.
-
Beside i am not the biggest Eminem Fan i appericate all kind of music and a lot of artists
he isn't my fave musican because i like rock the most but really he done a lot of good things and i think he goes his own way straight and i am happy for him to realize new albums and music .
I think this one if a really good one ! i don't know yet what inspired him but i really think that more peoples need to know about him & his workgreetings
-
@F7k-B0y I haven’t listened to all of it but listened to a few so far and I rly like Godzilla with JUICE WRLD so far.
-
@Mia-x To be honest I wasn't expecting that collaboration ... Damn ... It's lit.
-
@F7k-B0y yeah same. JUICE WRLD is such a great loss.
The Ed Sheeran one is good too forget the name of it.
-
@F7k-B0y I haven't heard it yet but he's getting his balls booted in the press here for using the ariana grande terrorist attack in Manchester for a throwaway rhyme. They printed the lyric and i have to say it's in very poor taste. He has enough talent, he doesn't need to stoop so low for attention
-
@F7k-B0y fair comment, they just showed 2 lines so i didn't get the full context, just the press jumping on a twitter meltdown
-
@Mia-x Watching "Darkness" music video made me feel the same ... But I guess his effort to treat such taboo should be taking in consideration.
-
@Mia-x He's never shied away from challenging subject matter or controversy. Art should make us think for sure. Sometimes it is uncomfortable though. And maybe crosses the line. A lot of my favourite comedians walk this tight rope, Ricky Gervais ( watch his stand up, it's superb), Bill Hicks, Frankie Boyle, all these guys sometimes veer into poor taste but they always make you think. Really they are an antidote to the politicians who actually DO the bad shit but don't want us to think
-
@Scottish well isn’t that just the truth. Especially ur last part lol.
-
@Scottish the Ariana Grande comment is on a different track tho. “Unaccommodating”
-
@Hyde That surprises me, i thought there would be a thriving hip hop scene in Japan, it's the non western country that seems to dig western culture the most. My very favourite being shonen knife, i fucking love that band! And they've been going how long? 30-35 years? My favourite Japanese band ever
-
@Scottish sry just saw this. I just looked him up. WOW!!
-
@Hyde I agree ... I grow up listening to his songs ... Talking about rap and hip hop he is a legend.
-
@F7k-B0y In the HipHop and Rap scene he defintifly is a legend but not in my scene but like i said i appericate his work i like him more as german rappers or also japanese rappers be sure they sound as someone had kicked their balls... it's not the talent of a japanese artist to rap like enimem ~
-
@F7k-B0y heyyy.. I woke up to this on my news feed. checking it out right now
-
@Mia-x I can't even choose my favourite one yet.
