Fact check with Pet: Corpus Christi
-
So I thought I should make a series of posts about things that you seldomly hear about, like the fact that warmer water freezes faster than colder water.
Today I shall start with a fact about a catholic feast, Corpus Christi, which was celebrated last thirsday or today depending on state regulations. Many people think this is the highest feast of the catholics, since it's the most public one.
But the highest feast of the catholic church is easter (the triduum, the 3 holy days with the crucifixion on friday, easter saturday and easter sunday), since according to the teachings of the church it is the moment in which – through the passion and resurrection of christ – every believer (including people who only believe through their actions, e.g. folks who never heard of god but lead a good life anyways...) was freed from their sins and got an entry pass into heaven...

@PetrAPark3r And here I was thinking that the Corpus Christi festival was just Catholics sitting around listening to 'Corpus Christi' by Jeff Buckley, because they're into dead, tragic indie rockers from the 90's.
