why I keep avoiding others who try to approach me without giving a chance to know them better? And after that I keep regretting but anyway I do it again

I can think of 2 reasons.
You either feel like they are not "worth it" or "interesting enough" so you don't bother much with the ppl that approached you cuz you know it won't get anywhere or you find it too special and interesting, feel u are losing control over yourself, feel you are diving too deep, so you rather jump off before you get too deep. -

I can really relate to both reasons, I usually tend to calculate and find the end result that how my brain mostly work which is quite perfect for my studies but not in relationships with people around me
I just hope that I could find a balance..
