Thanks for being my sunshine

I just want to see the light,
it is always so bright,
it can get me through my plight,
and make my heart take flight.
Just a small sight,
can take me through the night,
and even though it was slight,
it makes me feel quite alright.
I'm uncomfortable with heights,
but with the light,
that fear disappears and everything is right.
You can emotionally smite,
with your friendly might,
all the blight.
With that you are the highlight,
of my life.
