[Re] let's talk
@alwaysstranger and as you keep on insisting, let me ask you. Why do you watch Filthy Frank? Do you consider it to be useful? Is it more productive and helpful than using that time to learn a language?
See. You watch it because you like it. There is nothing more to that. We do things because we want and like to do it. That's all that matters in the end.
I only watch filthy frank when I'm feeling really down but watching filthu frank doesn't unreasonablly change my metaphysical beliefs or lack there of(P.S. filthy frank is agnostic), I'm saying that it's not useful because it's an illusion, whatever emotions you're getting in your head are probably only comming from your head and the moment you are unnecessarily giving a wrong interpretation of where these emotions are coming from even though you can get these emotions by staying at home and meditating like what sam harris (the guy in the last video is sent) recommends, is the moment that activity becomes a waste of time and unecissary because you can getthe same emotions in less time and 0 BS metaphysical beliefs. And by the way you're saying this to someone who speaks English, French, Arabic, Bulgaria fluently and who is currently learning German and Greek
TELL ME A WEBSITE ON WHICH ......
people are going to judge no matter where
the best thing you can do is to write all your negative emotions on a piece of paper and burn it..or cut it itno 1000 pieces and flush it or pour an acid over it lol whatever means to get that anger out
you can also join a karate class or kick boxing or simply go for a run or simply do a 50 pushups or more or less as per your caliber ..let all that anger drain into physical work
the other thing u can do is to stand in front of the mirror and talk and really talk and you will see u will start crying which means its working
donot keep all your emotions shut tight..let it out .
and just so that you know..you are not the first daughter who has felt the emotions of hatred to her mother....it happens all the time to most of the females..and i know you feel guilty later or you dont ..but its how it is..mothers can be really hard sometimes....dont feel so bad..it will pass..
I laugh nervously pretty much every time I feel an emotion... the annoying bit is that laughing is usually the worst thing to do during emotional times!
Are intelligence and happiness tied together in any way? If you are highly intelligent, is it more likely that you’ll be more, or less happy?
@ragnar-lothbrok it's generally accepted that intelligence is directly proportional to sadness. That could be of varied reasons.
For example, I am good with reading emotions. I almost have 85% accuracy in reading their thoughts/emotions through subtle hints on their face. It cause sadness sometimes to me by learning their thoughts when I interact with them.
I WANNA WRITE
@cutie-cat Well write about how with all the words we have at our disposal, communication fails so many time to truly express what we feel inside. Or how little we use it, demean it with emotes and slang, lols, and brb. Words were once used to invoke beautiful and powerful messages, statements, declarations of love and lost, hate and anger..emotions but to life with the words of and artist. Words their canvas.
The truth about the world we live in!!!
@alwaysstranger "Thats just a nice way of saying that you don't care...and do not tarnish the ancient stoics by comparing yourself with them in any way!!!"
1st you haven't even studied stoicism as much as me. have you read seneca? Have you even studied philosophy before? I'm an expert in philosophy
2nd you're upset that people aren't helping each other as much as they can be and you're unnecessarily throwing that on me and it actually hurts when you do that and it hurts a lot
3rd what i was trying to say is that I'm doing my best and plan to continue doing my best but without having an emotional stake in the outcome because if i did have an emotional stake in the outcome I'd go crazy so I'm just acting like stoic and not screaming everytime i remember how fucked up the world is
Why do some people take good people for granted?
Why can't they just do good in return..
●You are Adjusting:
If you are adjusting, emotional in nature and keep others first while taking any decisions in life then people will surely take you for granted. It’s good to be nice to people but start thinking that you won’t do anything wrong with them and you will adjust for them in any situation. It’s very easy to play with emotions for adjusting person.
●Never think about credits:
Even if you are trying to work hard for someone or care a lot for someone, you never expect to get care and credit in return then you need to become smarter. There are people whom you have to realize how much you work and care, sometimes you need to use words to show who you are and what your worth is. Once you will show your worth, they will stop taking you for granted.
Sometimes people lose their self-confidence either because of failures or wrong decisions in life. If you will lose self-confidence, how others are going to respect you? Lack of confidence gives permission to another to rule you. Unless you won’t show your importance, other won’t come to know what you mean to their lives.
●You love them:
This is the biggest reason why anyone starts taking you for granted. If you are expressive and told a person that what he/she means to your life, he/she will start thinking that whatever happen you are never going to go away especially when it’s an unconditional love. So, if you think that the one you love is taking you granted, it’s time to rethink about that relation.
●They rule your life:
There are people who have the power to make you smile as well as cry and when people become so important in your life, you become weak in front of them. You start living your life the way they want and try to do whatever makes them happy. The day others know their importance they will surely take you for granted.
If God created everything in the universe, then who created God?
Without getting too philosophical, I will write down my opinion of God which I have formed after reading about history, psychology, politics, cults, religions, humans and quite a lot of pondering.
Man created God.
Humans are hard-wired to be curious, we seek explanations behind things. When we don’t find those explanations, the mind forms it’s own conclusions as a way to satiate that curiosity.
Early humans didn’t have the right explanation as to how the Sun affects life on Earth, why rain happens, why thunderstorms, who created the Earth and so on. They formed conclusions of a universal force that was controlling their lives and surroundings.
God became a way to explain these phenomena. Most religions have a concept of a ‘Eternal Divine Light’ somehow related to god, or the god itself.
The Byzantine mystic, Saint Symeon, revealed a more fundamental meaning when he described the Divine as, “A light infinite and incomprehensible…one single light…simple, timeless, eternal…the source of life.”
Sounds like our Sun?
God also became an explanation for life and death, to console the relatives of the deceased that ‘the person is now at a better place with god’ and that they were not alone, ‘god is with them’. People hate the feeling of being left alone.
Not everyone can take the responsibility of the dire circumstances caused due to their poor decisions. It is easier to shift that blame to someone else. It becomes ‘god’s will’ and that He has already chosen a path for us, these circumstances are just a test for us. There are many such things.
As centuries went by, cults and religions came into existence to give people a sense of belonging with like-minded folks. With that also came the godmen, messengers of this god who could form a direct connection to god. Religion evolved as a common ground to make it easier for leaders to control a large number of people. Till today, it’s one of the best ways to divide and rule.
Religion has a very deep hold on people and hooks them emotionally. You may present all facts to a religious person about evolution, any evidences of thousands of year old fossils, everything. But they won’t let go of their religion, because letting go would mean whatever they believed upto now was false, about death of their dear ones- that they are not at any better place-they are just dead, about god ‘always walking along them’ to ‘guide their path’ ‘god loves them’ , all of this will be falsified and they will suddenly ‘feel’ alone. Religious people are emotionally attached to god, facts won’t affect their ‘faith’.
So, in my opinion, god is a creation of man’s imagination. Whether it’s psychologically useful or not, I’m not sure.
Who are more complicated – men or women?
i agree with you ..we have wide range of emotions
